Nya is a P2 in the Ponce lab, where she researches how neurons interact to process the visual world. She is from Philadelphia, PA, and went to undergrad at Claflin University (located in South Carolina). Some of her research interests include cognitive neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, consciousness, and vision. Outside of the lab, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, exploring new places in Boston, dancing, hiking, and camping! She is very excited about being a part of PiNBAC, and is looking forward to developing her identity as a scientist during the program!
